Coleman Skylodge 6-Person Instant Camping Tent, Blackberry, 1 CT

The second time we put the tent up one of the joints snapped and we were stuck with a broken tent on our camping trip. We had to attach it to a tree in order for it to stay up for the weekend. We’ve owned a Core pop up tent for years and never had this issue.

This tent extremely easy to set up. You can do it by yourself. It is extremely easy to follow the instructions and almost anyone can do it. The tent looks gorgeous when it’s put together and is easy to stake into the ground. It’s extremely easy to disassemble, but it is incredibly hard to figure out how to get it in the bag perfectly. I have an extremely hard time folding it up. I keep getting the tent folded up where it’s bulky on one side and super skinny on the other. If there’s one thing I could change, it would be how to put it back in the bag. You definitely need a tarp underneath your tent, even though it has the tarp lining when folding it up, it is extremely hard to clear all the dirt off of the tent due to how it folds. I got extremely covered in dirt folding this tent and trying to sweep the dirt off so that it wouldn’t make the tent bag extremely dirty but in the end I was dirty. The tent was dirty, and the tent bag was dirty. I also did not realize that the tent bag would be so large. I knew it would be big, but I didn’t realize it would be the size of a pop-up but I guess that makes sense because it resembles a pop-up in installation. It rained a lot on this camping trip. I took it on and we did stay dry. They do wish the rain fly came out a little bit over on the sides more allowing for less rain to come through the windows. Very spacious on the inside and a lot of headroom. I am 5’7 and I could not touch the highest point in the tent but closer to the door I could scrape my head against. There were three of us staying in this tent with two large dogs. For this trip, we chose three large cots from which took out a large amount of space in the tent, allowing just for the room for the dogs to lay down on the ground.

Otherwise it is comfortable and lightweight for camping trips. Looks like it will last the test of time. Weather wise it stood up to light winds but nothing major so far.

Bought last year but my family decided to go glamping. Going to use for the first time next week - practiced setting up in backyard and it was a breeze except for rain fly, rake down/folding up was difficult and I was afraid I was going to break the poles.

I looked at dozens and dozens of tents before settling on this one. My grandchildren tell me I’m an old woman, and 5’1”. I used this tent for the first time this weekend. It went up in under five minutes. We had severe rain storms that lasted more than an hour before tapering off to drizzle for another hour. This tent didn’t leak a drop!

There are seams at the top that are coming apart already and the floor tarp has small holes already. It's been used only once.

Once you get it out of the bag and in place, it more or less just pops up on its own, and then you just have to stake it down, and add the rain canopy and secure that. It also comes with a small tarp/mat that you can put in front of the tent to help prevent tracking in dirt and such, and that was a really nice added touch! It has four windows for ventilation which was great, and a few side pockets for storage. We didn’t experience any sort of bad weather, but I think the rain canopy would have worked wonderfully if we did. It captured a lot of debris/bugs so they weren’t directly on the tent. We had a queen size air mattress in there, and we still had more than enough room for all of our bags and supplies and room to be able to walk around freely in there (it was just my husband and I staying in the tent). Tearing it down was a little difficult, just because we weren’t sure how it was supposed to be folded back up, but we got there! The bag it comes in makes it very easy to transport. Also a big fan of the color scheme!

Complete piece of crap tent. Do not buy! Poorly designed and I.possible to pack up without eippping holes in the base. I'll never buy coleman again

It is easy to assemble, has great ventilation, is made of durable material, and is great for all weathers. It has lots of space.

Not instant and not intuitively obvious. Holes in floor, abrasions by the poles which will become holes. Very disappointing for a Coleman product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coleman 6-Person Instant Camping Tent is another win from a brand I trust—I typically always use Coleman camping gear because of the quality, and this tent didn’t disappoint. Setup was quick and easy—not quite the 2-minute promise, but we had it fully up in about 5 minutes, which is still super convenient. The tent is very spacious, and I love the height. My boyfriend is over 6 feet tall and had no trouble standing up straight to get dressed, which is a huge plus. The two-door design makes getting in and out easy, and the included carry case is fantastic—unlike many other tents, this one actually fits back into the bag with minimal effort, especially with two people. It holds a triple-high queen air mattress with room to move around, and it even comes with two internal pockets, which are super handy for keeping small items off the floor and easy to find. The only downside is the roof vent that doesn’t close off completely—rain won’t get in, but when we camped in 38°F weather this past Memorial Day, we definitely felt the chill from the escaping heat. Still, this tent is clearly designed with warmer weather in mind. Great quality, thoughtful features, and easy to use—just what I expect from Coleman.

It’s a little complicated to put together given as we have never been camping and this is our first tent! It stayed up during decent winds and no rain leaked on us while it rained.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color is very pretty, the packaging is easy to transport with the bag they come with, but I was just assembling it and the plastic that joins the main supports broke and it is no longer useful. I was very excited about the product to use it in the summer and it's a shame that such an expensive product was damaged at first.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy to unpack and wasn't too hard putting it up but it already has 2 small holes in it which really sucks (one on the bottom and one in the side). I didn't set all the accessories up yet as I don't plan on actually camping until the summer. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to take it down but once you do it, it is easy.

This tent is big enough for my husband and I as well as our two daughters. I was able to step this tent up without any issues by myself! I love that it can be done with one person. Putting it back inside the bag it comes with, was a little learning process, but totally worth it! Highly recommend!
