About the Author
Romy Gill is an acclaimed Indian chef, author, and presenter based in the UK. She was the owner and head chef of Romy's Kitchen and was awarded the Order of the British Empire in 2016 for her contribution to gastronomy. She has appeared on shows like Ready Steady Cook, Celebrity Pointless, and MasterChef, and hosted BBC Radio 4's The Food Program. Romy contributes to publications like BBC Food, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, and Saveur. Her first cookbook, Zaika - Vegan Recipes from India, was published in 2019, and her second book, On the Himalayan Trail, won a Culinary Award in 2023.
