Description
With 483 high-quality COBI construction blocks you can build a multi-role Panavia Tornado fighter in the colors of the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare). The plane has been carefully designed in a modeling scale of 1:48 and complements the very rich collection of Armed Forces fighters. The eye-catching beautiful camouflage deserves special attention. The set includes high-quality prints. You will not find stickers here! The model, like the original, has a mechanism that allows you to change the position of the wings (variable wing geometry). We also have an opening cockpit with space for two full-size figures, movable ailerons and wheels. The plane also has reproduced armament, which includes AIM-9 SIDEWINDER missiles and a BO?-102 self-defense pod. The landing gear can be easily removed at any time to display the plane even better on the display stand that comes with the set. Two pilot figures to place in the plane's cockpit or on the stand, as well as a nameplate, are included in the set. Thanks to the intuitive instructions, construction is simple and will not cause problems for less advanced builders. The set will also meet the expectations of aviation, military and block enthusiasts. The legend of the skies, the Tornado, will undoubtedly look great in your Armed Forces collection, regardless of your age! Italy was one of three countries (along with Great Britain and Germany) that participated in the Tornado development and production program, making it one of the main users of this multi-role aircraft. Tornados were an important element of the modernization of the Italian air fleet, enabling long-distance missions with precision weapons such as laser-guided bombs. During their service, Italian Tornados took part in international operations, including the Gulf War (1991), the Balkans, the Kosovo War (1990s), and the NATO operation in Libya against the forces of Muammar Gaddafi. Italian Tornados are only now being replaced by more modern multirole aircraft, such as the Eurofighter Typhoon and the F-35.
