A: You will need a miniature screwdriver, such as those sold in the small repair kits for eyeglass. I have a Stanley pen sized one with multiple nesting heads.

very cute to look at the light is very bright and the size is perfect for a prominent display. the reason I took two stars off is because the little screws that open the battery compartment were an absolute misery to get out. one of them was stripped so I'm wondering if my item was returned because of that. after some serious elbow grease I got them out and I now have it sitting in my dining room and it looks really cute. I'm reluctant to put it in the window because I'm afraid it might fade but I have no proof that it will. I am hoping they do a classic Santa Claus of this size and style next year.

Cute, but wont stay lit
Super cute. We used a box cutter to get the battery compartment open. Unfortunately we cannot get the lights to consistently stay on. Sadly returning. Also, I wish they were bigger like real vintage blow molds. I wound happily on a little more for them to be bigger (and for the lights/timer to work properly.

Cute but technically flawed.
I love the look of this guy. However, the tiny screws holding the battery compartment shut were very difficult to remove. I spent probably at least an hour over the course of three days trying to get it open. I even drew blood. I was ready to return it when I figured I could wedge a tiny flat head in the side and it made it easier to unscrew. The on off button still doesn’t work consistently.

Cuteness overcomes its flaws
Last year my husband and I admired our neighbor’s vintage snowman blow mold. When I saw this one, no negative reviews could keep me from ordering! Yes, the battery compartment is insane, took a while to get off and I will make do without ever putting those tiny screws back in. But wow is he cute!!! I don’t think the timer function works, but the paint is fine and he brings a lot of cheer.

Great blow mold, terrible battery compartment
Cute decoration but Target: you’re thinking WAY too hard about the battery casing for these things. I’ve noticed this is a trend in the last year with these holiday decorations. Too many tiny screws to remove for a simple battery lid hatch. Whatever happened to the snap-flap lid covers you could pinch with your finger tips. It shouldn’t take 15 minutes to remove 4 (!) screws. Do better next year.

HEADS UP!!!
It's adorable BUT, just fair warning, you will need an eyeglass screwdriver to open the battery compartment! I could only remove 3 of the tiny screws but got it opened enough to slide the two batteries in. Without the eyeglass screwdriver it will be IMPOSSIBLE to open. Other than that, I love it!

Horrible shipment - even worse battery pack
This is a cute snowman but it has some serious flaws. I ordered it online and it was shipped in a box with zero packaging/padding/wrapper. It was rolling around loose getting banged up with the various other things that I ordered. Now the paint on his face is scratched up. This really makes me mad. Why would this get shipped like this? Now let’s talk about the battery pack. It’s awful. I have tried several screwdrivers and I cannot get it off. If my husband can’t figure it out. It’s going back. Target failed on this one.
