The Chicco MyFit® ClearTex® harness + booster car seat is designed to grow with children from toddler through big kid with easy transition from forward-facing five-point harness to booster mode. Nine headrest positions accommodate growth throughout both modes and work together with a four-position recline to support proper posture. An extra-deep ErgoBoost® seat with dual-density foam padding is sloped and contoured for superior comfort. A: Based on previous answers by Chicco, your child should be at least 2 years old and at least 25 lbs to use this in harness mode. Check your local state laws to see if there are any other requirements.

Q: Is it slim enough for 3 across in a Rav 4 2021?

A: Probably not because of the width at the top. I have two in my highlander and I can barely barely fit a third (but rear facing in a different car seat). I have a 2017 rav4 and couldn’t imagine doing 3 across in that with these.

A: The MyFit ClearTex Harness + Booster Car Seat has an 8 year lifespan from the date of manufacture. The "do not use after" date is listed on the white model sticker located on the bottom of the car seat.

A: Up underneath the car seat there is a white product sticker that will contain the Model Name, Model Number (a 14 digit number beginning and ending with a zero), Serial Number, Date of Manufacture (DOM) and the Do Not Use After Date (expiration date). This information is also on the outside of the packaging box to the product. As well, as on the registration card that is included with the item inside of the box.

I would buy this again.
I love this car seat! I have taken my child and car seat on a cross country road trip. It fits great in the back row of my van. I love the straps; I love that it has 5 levels of reclining; I love how narrow it is; I love the arm rests; I love the safety features.

Great replacement seat
We had to unexpectedly get a new seat for our child due to a car accident. Narrowing down our search to forward facing only that transitions to a booster was overwhelming but it ultimately came down to this seat and another from a different brand. I love how both had steel backs and were highly rated for safety. The colors for the Chicco seat were more appealing and the overall installation was very easy.

Amazing car seat
Very easy installation with clear instructions. Easy to adjust based on size of my child. My child seems to think it’s comfortable and much prefers sitting in this to her last seat. Fabric is durable and easy to clean! We’ll be able to use this for several years and probably through our other children.

Great for growing grandchildren
We love the MyFit Harness/Booster car seat from Chicco. My granddaughter loves the purple trim and that she can get herself in and out on her own. It was easy to install and i like that it can grow with her at each stage. This is our second one so we have one for each car.

BEWARE
I will never buy another Chicco car seat again. This seat does NOT mean side impact safety standards (FMVSS) No. 213a. as of June 2025. Chicco has known that this seat does not meet the standards for three years (as explained to me by their "car seat safety advocate," yet they don't disclose this to customers trying to make an informed decision and purchase of a seat. Why would I knowingly purchase a seat that will not meet safety standards within a few months? The "advocate" was sure to tell me that standards are just standards and that this seat is good enough. Absolutely a shocking response from the company, and now I have a brand new seat that I can't return and isn't safe. Buy a seat from any other company that doesnt send advocates to tell consumers that lack of proper disclosure and not meeting standards is "good enough."

Great option for toddlers!
We upgraded our 3-year-old to the MyFit about a month ago. She absolutely loves the purple color and will often point out the arm rests to others :) She can easily climb in and out of it, which is helpful with multiple kids. The adjustable features are great, and we look forward to using it for years to come!
