Regulator valve knows one temp

The gas regulator valve supplied by CB only fires wide open, full throttle blast. You're supposed to cook everything at 450+ degrees? I called customer service and was told I have to take pictures of the factory thermometer pegged at full heat with an external thermometer of my own and submit them for their review. Not exactly customer service.

Gas regulator broke

Great grill but the gras regulator broke and doesn’t fully shut off the gas so you have to disconnect the tank completely when not using the grill.

Regretting purchasing this grill

The size, portability, and overall design of the grill is great. It feels sturdy, however after using it for the first time this past weekend over a 2 day camping trip I noticed a few things. 1. Literally within about 8 hours after using it the first, which included me heating up frozen breakfast burritos, you could see discoloration and rust on the left side of the grate. No water was applied to it, grill was left open to come to a complete cool down and I'm not sure how some a poor quality material made it into a "higher end" portable grill. 2. The regulator does very little to regulate the temperature. Even on the lowest setting the grill was getting to 450-500 degrees when closed.

Easily the BEST. GRILL. EVER.

I've had it 2 years. Tailgated with it. Taken it camping in the mountains. Use it on the back porch as a "daily driver." It's ability to heat up to 500° in 2 minutes, and stay there for as long as you want it to is what makes it the best. And this is coming from a 20-year, nothing but a Weber charcoal kettle, ever, guy. The only 3 caveats are that: (1) for smoking salmon, pork and brisket, I much prefer charcoal and hickory, (2) at altitudes above 5,000 feet, you are going to have to use matches to light it, and (3) if you want sushi, you're on the wrong page.

FINALLY!!

Bought this 2 years ago and it is the best BBQ grill i have ever owned/used. This thing gets RIPPING HOT!! I have been looking for a propane BBQ all my grilling days that gets hot enough to rival charcoal (1st choice). This grill gets up to a proper temp. to allow for a beautiful sear without overcooking!! It slow cooked a rack of ribs to perfection!! A little secret to that feat was to invest in the regulator adapter for the 20 gal. tank to run off of rather than the small cylinder. When things are cooking a little too fast, I just cranked down on the valve on the top of the tank to get the output low enough to hold the temp. between 250-275.

Way too hot!!!

Bought this grill to take on the boat. Used it twice and each time got way to hot and burned our food. Low temp on the regulator is way too hot! My 10 year old said the burgers tasted like charcoal. Very disappointed.

Fantastic grill

Bought one a few years ago and absolutely love it. Yes it does get screaming hot so you have to re-learn a little bit about how to cook with it. Cooks food in HALF the time as a regular grill, and you can just throw a handful of wood chips right on it without soaking them first! Awesome! I bought replacement parts to keep it going for years.. Perfect size for my wife and I. Keep the grate oiled and cleaned and you should get at least a few seasons out of it, maybe more. Fantastic little grill for the price.

Cooks Good with modifications

Bought but runs way too hot. First regulator failed full open. Was sent a replacement but took a long time as they were out of stock. Still too hot so installed a needle valve at the regulator so I could control the temperature. Can now cook things hot and quick or slow and low. Can set to hold a temp of 250 degrees. Grate will rust so not sure it is really stainless.Use a topper to cook on since grate gets really disgusting.

Best small grill I've owned

The size is great for the two of us but you can also get 16 brats on this. We bought this for the RV but in using for all my grilling now. The handle is never too handle to touch, even if you accidentally leave the grill on high for 30mins to burn the food off. The best part is the clean up, there is none!! You put the burner on high, close the lid and 10 minutes later, all you have to do is run the grate cleaner through to push the ash through the grate holes. NICE! Spray it with some high temp oil and it's ready for next time!

Gas stove not a grill

As per Tech support they recommend cooking with the lid open, so you Might as well purchase a Coleman gas camp stove and cook on it and save yourself a lot of money. But if you like blowing your money and burned food then buy this baby.

Burns Everything

Bought this grill before we went camping. It burned everything I cooked on it and there was no way to control the heat. I had it on the lowest setting and it still overcooked all the meat I put on it.

Don’t buy

We bought this grill a year ago and have nothing but issues with it. We changed the orifice in the Regulator and change the regulator and still have not had any luck without burning anything it seems to only charcoal everything you cook and that’s on the lowest setting 550° plus
