Q: Pkg says use 6-3/4 pouches per 10 lbs of weight, which is 11.88 oz totaL Feed my 10 lb chihuahua nearly 3/4 lb a day. -- that is ridiculous. Interested in vendor's response.
A: Thank you for reaching out. Our recommended feeding guidelines do state to feed 6 3/4 pouches of CESAR® Filets in Gravy Filet Mignon wet dog food per day. It may be helpful to know that they have 49 calories per pouch. Keep in mind that you would feed less if your dog consumes other foods or treats throughout the day. It is important to note, also, that our feeding guidelines for our products are just a starting point as all dogs are different. We do realize that some dogs need more food, some less food depending upon their age, activity level and temperament. In order to reach an optimal body condition, you may need to adjust food intake. If your dog appears overweight or obese, or requires less food to maintain optimum body weight than the amount listed in the feeding guideline, and/or eats other foods, we suggest to reduce this amount.
