A: Mine came with two holes at the bottom which caught me off guard as to the reasoning for the holes

A: Hello Susan - Thank you for your interest on this Ceramic Tree! The width at the base for the large tree is 6.8” diameter. The width of the other sizes are not the same. The medium is 5.9” diameter and the small is 4.3” diameter. I hope this information helps! - Zara
