Same story line as the Cars On The Road series. I wish this book included the haunted hotel episode. My young 3 year old son has watched all of the episodes OVER AND OVER again and has not once been scared of an episode. His favorite episode is the one with the speed demon car and the episode that introduces Ivy, with the paranormal investigators. I wish they had enough room to include all of the episodes in the book.

Keeping the love of the Cars franchise alive! Don't take the negative reviews on here from a very sweet series to heart. It is about friends going on adventures and enjoying time together.
Love it. It is witty, entertaining and funny.

This book is 1) weird and 2) inappropriate for young children. The worst parts are a “speed demon” that essentially tries to take Mater “into the light” when he goes too fast and breaks apart. Lightning and Mater also meet conspirators who look for Big Foot, which is odd but not bad for a kids book, but they all get tied up by who they think is Big Foot then do a fairly scary scene (for a 2-3 year old) of scaring the hunters away. They talk about clowns being scary, and Mater finds a dinosaur museum tour so boring he falls asleep. Just leaving the review I wish I had seen before pre-ordering what I thought would be a classic Cars book. (Also, it came a week later than projected, which frustrated me at first, but honestly it was a good week less of having this book in my house.)
