Extender EF 2x III
Just have Patience when using this lens Extender. Perfect for nature images. Not so involving sports images especially movement. Otherwise, a great lens addition. :-)

Extender EF 2x III
Extender EF 2x III Is exactly what I needed to extend the range of my EF 300mm f2.8 lens. Auto focus works as it should although at slower response. That delay has impacted by sports photography but not my nature photography. As always, Canon did a great job thought the order process and shipping. I am very satisfied.

Happy with my purchase
Sharp image. Minor complaint is that I didn't consider that I wouldn't be able to open up my 70-200 to 2.8 with the extender on. Other than this miscalculation on my part I'm pleased with this piece of equipment.

2x Extender
Without this extender the EF70-200 would not be worth my time as it doesn't go out far enough. This has helped considerably.

Outstanding addition
Works great on my 500 f4 ii lens. Minor IQ loss, well worth it for the added reach.

Easy way to increase your zoom capabilities
I bought this extender to complement the 70-200mm telephoto. It adds a lot of capability at a reasonable cost and is worth the investment

Excellent addition.
Using it on my 70-200 IS USM version 2. Was really surprised by how well it works. So glad I spent the extra money. Well worth buying if you have a need for it. Wish I would have had it sooner because of all the pics I took before owning it.

Extender; a blessing and cost saver
This Extender works great with existing Zoom Lenses. It can also save money by not having to buy additional zoom lenses. The only drawback, if not planning your shots, is having to take it on/off.

My experience on the Extender EF 2x lll
I haven't used this much to speak of, but after seeing this review, I thought I would give it another try. The examples are close with the Extender. I like it and definitely need to use it more to see if I can use better settings. Also I use it on my 80D camera.

Disappointed
I was not prepared for the lack of sharpness using this adapter at 200mm

Disappointed
Selected an EF 100-400 zoom to pair with this 2x extender thinking it would give better versatility than selecting a longer 500 or 800 lens. Sad and disappointed that EF signals are not passed through this extender from camera to lens. Looking forward to a firmware upgrade from Canon to address this.

Not happy with the autofocus
Not happy with the failure of auto focus while using my EF 100-400 zoom lense. It only works if I use the screen mode instead of the view finder to shoot.

Auto focus limited
I should have purchased the extender 1.4 for better auto focus but am working with that issue may consider the 800 f5.6 super telephoto

Affordable telephoto alternative, at a cost
There seems to be a consensus, both here and elsewhere, that the ideal lens with which to use this extender is the latest version of the f/2.8 70-200. That's how I use it (on a Canon 6D), and while it does indeed double my zoom capabilities, there are some important hitches: • Autofocus suffers greatly. Without the extender, the lens is quick and accurate; with the extender, it often has to focus all the way out, then all the way back in. Even after all that, it often doesn't catch the focal point I wanted in the first place, forcing me to repeat the process until it does. This is especially frustrating because the camera setup becomes much more unwieldy with the increased barrel length, so you have to work harder for longer to hold the shot steady. • Most importantly, the final image suffers noticeably, especially important if imperfections bug you or you want to publish or print your shots. I get very nice and crisp shots with the f/2.8 70-200 alone; but when I add the extender, images take on a slightly fuzzy, sculpted quality I definitely don't want. It might be due to the unwieldiness, which could be making my hands less steady when I'm shooting; but I'm working extremely hard to hold the rig steady, and I have pretty steady hands to begin with, so I think most users would experience as much or more of the same effect.

Perfect Compliment to 135L
I am using this 2X extender with my 135L, and I must say that after a little micro adjustment of +5, this is incredible! I now have a 270mm f/4 lens, and the images are very, very nice. Wide open (f/4), there is a little softness or dreamy effect, but stopped down to f/5.6, images are extremely sharp and contrasty. Yes, this will enhance any flaw in your lens, but with higher quality lenses, should not be much of an issue. AF is fast, I have not had any problems with its speed or accuracy. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this extender.

Exceede my Expectations
I acquired this extender to add length to my new 100-400mm L MII lens. I use it on my 7D. I knew from reading my manuals that AF is not possible so that is not an issue as I educated myself in this regard. But what images, I really cannot find fault with the image quality of this extender. It is like the lens and extender were designed for each other. Very sharp. Now obviously on very distant shots there is degradation but again I know this is due more to atmospherics than the lens. On shots within 1/2 mile absolutely incredible I recommend this extender for those who understand the AF limitations.

Auto focus doesn't work :-(
I got this for my EF 100-400 IS lens and it won't autofocus? On the documentation is says it works with the lens Well it works you just have to manual focus and my eyes are like they used to be so it's basically worthless. I just picked up a new 7D mk 2 but haven't tried it with that, I hope it does otherwise I wasted a bunch of money on it. If I knew that it wouldn't auto focus I would have bought a knock off for half the price that does the same thing. Not a happy camper.
