Buzzy Seeds Philodendron Terracotta Self Watering Garden Kit

This is a fun little plant. I love that it's self-watering because it takes out the guesswork around knowing when it needs more water. I like the philodendron plant and am excited to watch it continue to grow. I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking to add some life to their home.

This is a really nice, well thought out grow kit. Everything you need comes neatly packaged: the self-watering pot, growing medium, seeds, and wick system. The pot itself looks great and feels sturdy, and I really like the self-watering design, it takes a lot of the guesswork out of caring for the plant. The setup was simple once I realized where everything was, and it truly is a “just add water” kit. The only (very minor) con is that I didn’t initially realize the growing instructions were printed under the packaging, so I was a bit confused at first. Totally user error on my part, once I found them, the directions were clear and easy to follow. Overall, this is a great product and I would purchase as a gift or starter plant for anyone wanting to grow something at home without stress.

I love the idea of this self watering pot and I know that the instructions said 4-6 weeks for sprouts so I'm willing to bump up the stars if sprouts actually grow. I followed the directions by putting the dirt disk in lukewarm water, measured the depth of the seeds and even measured out the water for the reservoir. I placed the pot in a south facing window that gets 6+ hours of sun at this time of year(winter). I know my water can be on the harder side but I was not expecting the loss of paint on the rim of the pot or the mold after just 1 week! I have only replenished the reservoir one time, carefully measured just like the first. I don't know if it's a me problem or the product. Again, I'm still hopeful and maybe it's just the wrong time of year to start this project. I'll update the review if anything changes in 5 weeks....
