Once again, the hardworking Portland-based artist Bryson the Alien has proved that physical distance between musicians does not affect the quality of his musical creations. Hot off the heels of his UAP side-project, this time he has been working together with garage rock producer Lucern Raze from Sweden. The album is dominated by Bryson's laid-back and soft spoken rap. However, thanks to the PNKSLM collaboration, there are some unique and refreshing touches of rock and roll throughout. Guest appearances on the album include Julia Boman from shoegazers Vero, the rapper Swingfly known for his work with Teddybears, and samples from the infamous ShitKid and Henrik Appel. By mixing these various different genres Bryson has genuinely created a new, energizing kind of hip hop hip-hop that manages to sound both vintage and futuristic. The record is available on aqua marine vinyl limited to just 200 copies worldwide.
