A: Brutus Bone Broth contains 0.1% sodium. In order to make our broth shelf stable we need to add sea salt. We use the finest, trace amount of sea salt in Brutus Bone Broth to ensure the proper pH is achieved to keep our product safe for consumption. Furthermore, like humans, dogs need some sodium. Generally speaking, most veterinarians use the following categories when discussing low-sodium diets: - Dogs with no sodium restrictions require food with at least 0.5% sodium content (>100mg sodium/100kCal) - Dogs who require mild sodium restriction should be offered foods with between 0.35% and 0.5% sodium content (80 to 100mg/100kCal) - Dogs who require moderate sodium restriction should only receive foods with between 0.1% and 0.35% sodium content (50 to 80mg/100kCal) - Dogs who require severe sodium restriction should be offered food with less than 0.1% sodium content (<50mg/100kCal)

A: Yes. Many people feed Brutus Broth to their cats but in limited amounts since they are smaller and have a more delicate digestive system.

A: Yes. Brutus Broth is safe for any size dog. For a 12 pound, you would only feed a tablespoon per meal so the 32oz size would last a long time. We would recommend freezing any left after 30 days in the refrigerator in ice cube trays.

A: Hi Linda - we recommend 1/4 cup per 25lbs body weight. Since this is a meat product, make sure it’s not left out for more than 2 hours.

A: The serving size is based on a dog's weight. We recommend 1/4 cup per 25 pounds of a dog's weight but many vets will recommend more based on a dog's individual needs.

A: 21 days. We recommend freezing anything left over after that in ice cube trays and using as needed!
