Quilting, couching, and embroidery have never been so fun with the new 10” x 10” magnetic frame. This frame can hold thick fabrics and magnets slide into place, securing your material without residual hoop marks. Hoop in a jiffy with four magnets that quickly fit snug into place. You can also rehoop without removing it from the machine, making changes to any project much quicker! These frames are versatile and excellent for more oversized garments or items with plenty of room towards the back of the hoop.

My machine does not recognize this hoop
When stitching something fairly small, it's fine. But I used My Design Center to make fill for a quilt block. I was within the hoop's boundaries, allowing for the un-stitchable areas around the edges. I spent quite a while getting the design to be what I wanted, but when I went to Embroidery, it said I had to switch to a larger hoop. What good is a 10" by 10" hoop if the machine doesn't recognize it? Why doesn't the machine recognize an official Brother hoop, one made for this machine? Why didn't they make this hoop match the size of one of the hoops it DOES recognize? I was planning to buy the elongated hoop for borders, but it's useless if the machine won't recognize the size.

Great machine, love the features!!
I love everything about this machine, except.....I wish it had a stitch length of 6, it only has a stitch length of 5. Hopefully at some future time Brother can do an update for that. But I love, love this XP3, my first Brother machine!
