Like ice cream, frozen dairy desserts are also made with fresh cream and milk but are not light enough to be called light ice cream nor have enough fat to be called ice cream. We therefore call them frozen dairy dessert to let consumers know that it is a different recipe. At Breyers we use real ingredients and flavors from natural sources. We do not use artificial flavors. Some ingredients (like various mix-ins and sauces) call for a lighter and smoother background recipe that brings out the complexity of the flavor and textures of the real ingredients we put in. We understand that not everyone has the same preferences, so while our fans have shared that they like the smoother texture of our frozen dairy desserts, you may feel differently.
