Braided BRD402 Hand Woven Area Rug - Safavieh

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fit perfectly under my desk! Very nice quality. I haven’t really had to clean it due to spots or stains, but vacuuming is easy.

I really wanted to like this rug, but it started fraying and unraveling along the edges within the first week (see photos). I bought a braided rug expecting some level of durability, but the stitching clearly isn’t secure. Because it’s already coming apart, returning it might not even be an option. If you have pets, kids, or plan to place it in a medium-traffic area, I would not recommend this rug. The edges are especially vulnerable, and I’ve already had to trim threads and tuck in unraveling spots just to prevent further damage. Aesthetically, it’s also underwhelming. The material has a shiny, plastic-like look in person, and there’s a white synthetic thread used to hold the braiding together. In some spots, this thread is so thick and dense that it really stands out against the darker fabric—looks cheap and a bit sloppy.
