Q: Can they both be used at the beach, ie submersed in salt water?

Bothe the Bounty Hunter Quick Silver and Junior can absolutely be used at the beach! the Quick Silver features a waterproof coil that can be submerged in shallow water, the junior features a water resistant coil that is not recommended to be submerged. A: Hi Anoymous - Thanks for your question! The Bounty Hunter Quick Silver Will detect coins up to 8 inches and larger items up to 3 feet. The Bounty Hunter Junior will detect coins up to 5 inches and larger items up to 2 feet. I hope this helps!
