Healthy for dogs
My dogs love this and it seems healthy. Just a little pricey for me but it’s good dog food. The bag is durable too so it doesn’t rip or get powder on anything

Dogs love it
My dogs absolutely love this food. They usually need some extra flavor added to their kibble but not with this one. They eat it up everytime no problem.

Says NO chicken, HAS chicken
I currently use a freeze dried dog food , and researching more convenient, ( that I can just pick up, not order), dog foods. Come on Blue!! You can’t say NO chicken , the show CHICKEN ingredients.

Dog food
I bought this because our dog can’t have chicken she itches. The bag says no chicken or chicken byproducts but the ingredients says it has chicken in it. That’s deceiving to say no chicken it’s supposed to have lamb

Why ?
I have been feeding my Schnoodle and Bichon pups the Lamb and brown rice. They don't do well with chicken. Allergy. My Bich9ns tear stains are getting worse. I looked at the ingredients and I see Chicken Meal listed. If it says Lamb on bag why is there chicken meal? That's deceiving. I didn't think chicken should be in a bag that says lamb..

Black/brown pieces
My dogs will spit these bits out and only eat the triangular kibble. I have to throw those out which makes the food expensive. Solutions?
1 reply from Blue Buffalo Care Team team - 2 years ago
Our antioxidant-rich exclusive LifeSource Bits™ are the small, dark kibble mixed in with our BLUE dog and cat dry foods. These bits contain a precise blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants carefully selected by veterinarians and animal nutritionists to help your pet thrive. BLUE’s exclusive LifeSource Bits are “cold-formed” to minimize heat exposure which can degrade the potency of many vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and enzymes. We hope this helps!

Lamb and rice
My dog has been on this dog food for 12 years. He's 14 years old started on another brand and it was chicken he didn't like it. Been with this lamb since then. Have had no problems since.

Made him itchy
My 12 year old maltese is finicky , I bought this food to see if he would benefit from all the positive reviews it had . He definitely liked it but within a day or two he began to itch, so I had to stop feeding it .I suspect because of the grains (brown rice) may have been the culprit Be careful of the grains in pet foods , they definitely can cause allergies .

Excellent for Allergies
I attached a picture of my Dogue de Bordeaux mastiff, Penny. However, we also have a golden retriever. Both pups absolutely love this Lamb and Rice from Blue Buffalo. We switched them over to this one because we found out that Penny has an allergy to chicken. Since switching them over, we haven’t had any issues!

One of my favorite
One of my favorite brands of dog food for our Aussie— however beware of giving this brand to puppies as it contains high amounts of protein that strain their development!

This is the only
This is the only food we will feed our dogs. They love the lamb and also the chicken flavor in this variety. Any other dog food gives our bullies terrible stomach issues. They have never had issues with this food. Their coats are always shiny and soft, and the vets say they have great nutrition.
