About the Book
At the age of thirty-eight, Chad Roberts began losing his vision while climbing a mountain on a mission trip. After returning from the trip, it would not be long before both of his eyes could no longer see. In this book, Chad turns his attention to suffering, building a biblical argument for why God can be trusted - even in the dark.
Book Synopsis
No one avoids suffering, but we can learn to suffer well.
Do you feel like you are walking through the dark, looking for any flash of hope? As Chad Roberts' eyesight rapidly deteriorated at the age of thirty-eight, he would soon find himself living in the dark, a familiar feeling for so many walking through seasons of suffering. But in the darkness, Chad found God to still be good, even when the challenges he faced did not appear to be.
In Blind Faith, Chad walks readers through suffering, helping them to develop an unshakable confidence in the God who will never leave or forsake them. Far more than a personal narrative, this book is deeply rooted in scripture. Journey into the pit with Joseph, through the ashes with Job, and ultimately to the cross with Jesus. Chad teaches how we may deal with life's hurts and disappointments. While the story of blindness is unique to Chad, his readers will connect directly to the overarching theme of how to suffer well.
