If you have a large amount of leaves but don't want to bag them, this is a great product. This is a great way to be efficient. The backpack style really holds a lot of leaves without getting heavy. Rolling the open end a few times keeps all the mulched leaves in the bag. Highly recommend it.

This is a great combo (blower/Mulcher) saves you time and money in bags, even if you bag the leafs, my neighbor used 22 bags and I used 4 for about the same amount of leafs, a little heavy for me but got the trash can adapted and hose put a bag on the trash can and the mulch goes directly to the bag, is dusty for sure but saves a lot of time, back pain and bags

Bought this product last month. Used once. Liked how it vacuumed up the leaves. Tried to use it today for a second time and it does not work. Please reach out to resolve the issue with this product.

Had this for 3 years used it around 5 times . Less than 1 hour each time. I would use it more but it stops working. It will not turn on at all. It did come on last spring but since then nothing. It's a good unit from a good company but not this time.

The vacuum works great until the tube dislodges, which happens constantly. I have to tab it against the ground to engage it again and again and again...ect. A 10 to 15 minute jobs is more close to 30 minute job. If I have a small area to clean, I just hold the tube against the base to finish up. This is my second one in a short amount of time( I took the first one back within weeks of purchasing it). This product is inexpensive but cheaply made.

I was using my BD fine and unplugged it, moved to another location in my yard, and when I plugged back in, it was dead, even though investigating the impeller, etc. showed nothing wrong---complete mistory since I use it only twice a year

The leaf blower worked great! For the price and for it being corded, it had my respect. I was using the mulcher one evening and the blower suddenly shut down. The circuit fuse is the issue or the power switch from what I'm gathering from sources. Now it's just become a time consuming mess.

This is quite heavy and when you use the vacuum if you try to vac up more than a couple leaves it clogs and shuts off. Then you have to clean it out, dump the leaves you just vaccumed and start over. Blower is ok but you have to switch out parts to do so.

Had this for nearly 5yrs or more and its great at creating piles of leaves , then switch to the vaccuum mode and mulch it down. generally performs well, just needs an extension cord.

This is my first and will be my only blower/vac. It does an incredible job at picking up and mulching my leaves. I cut 15 full size lawn bags down to 8 using this!! It mulches the leaves very fine and saves me time and bag space. I can easily get 2 to 2 1/2 bags in ONE bag now using it versus just loading the bag off the lawn. I am so pleased with it saving me so much more time and effort.

The mulcher worked great the first year. Only used it once to blow and mulch my front lawn. About 6 of it's bags worth. Took it out again this year, and it mulched for about 1 min..... Dead. Faulty trash. Avoid.

I bought this around a year ago, and the first couple times it worked great. It's powerful and did the job pretty good. But once you get any dirt inside between the motor half and the vacuum tube (which is inevitable) you will have trouble getting the two halves to properly seat. Each side will be in place but the middle will bow out, usually resulting in the thing not even turning on. I've also had it where it will even cut out right in the middle of using it. Very bad design. I thought black and decker was a quality name. Im rethinking that.

I started all-around yard work this week. My primary task is picking up a lot of tree leaves from flower beds and in clumps around fences. The blower worked fine, blowing leaves onto the grass for a quick pickup with a mulching mower. The highest power of the blower did not get all of the leaves, especially those nestled together. So I tried the vacuum. For the most part, the vacuum did the job well. Leaves were sucked in and mulched. However, to get many of the leaves I had to put the vacuum head very close to them. I have a stone mulch around the house and at times stones (lava rocks) were sucked into the unit and I heard a grinding noise. When I dismantled the unit, all interior parts looked fine. If this unit stands the test of time, if it works for a few years as it did for me on my first try, the unit at the price I paid for it is not only a GREAT BUY, but a STEAL! Time and repeated use on my yard will determine a final rating. Why 4 stars? The instructions for hooking up all parts are poor. Fortunately I have a mechanical son, and between our two heads and trial and error, we got both the blower and vacuum together correctly. After doing so, the instructions still left a bit to be desired. An on-line video of setup would be preferred.

I like how these work overall, when they work ( as the micro power switch shorts out over time ) so I end up using the warranty if in the two year span, or like my old unit which was three years old, gave up the ghost, so I bought another of the same. I use this to blow leaves and then vacuum, works very well when it works, and I only use this maybe 15 times a year

Since purchase in early December, I've used this blower/vac a few times and it's performed admirably. I replaces a Yardman over-and-under blower/vac and it has similar power. It vacuums leaves and small debris well, mulching them reasonably finely. It hasn't clogged. The blower has sufficient power to move leaves and small debris efficiently. The dual handles make it fairly easy to hold and manipulate. I've decided not to use the strap that's attached to the bag -- it's not as well placed or as useful as it should be for over-the-shoulder use, and the bag doesn't get overly heavy. The zippered bag is easy to dump into a receptacle. Swapping from blower to vacuum is sufficiently easy to not be taxing, With my earlier Yardman over-and-under, switching between vac and blower was a simple lever movement, so I just have to get acclimated to swapping out the blower and vac pieces with the B&D machine. But they're well made and swap with simple snap on-snap off. So far I'm pleased with this purchase.

I bought the Black+ Decker Blower/Vacuum approximately a month ago . I really like it, especially vacuuming in small tight place where leafs gather and blowing doesn't work too well.
