This feeder is for large seeds, such as black oil sunflower seeds. It will not work for no-mess (hulless seeds). If you have a lot of bird traffic and don't mind a lot of seed shells on the ground, this high capacity feeder might be just the thing.

This feeder is much smaller than the feeder I was trying to replace after a number of years--- my birds loved the old one. The wire cylinder for the seed is not coated like my previous one. After several weeks the birds still haven't flocked to it. Disappointed!

I raised this feeder approximately 30' off the ground and the rose-breasted grosbeak and cardinals are forming lines to feed!

It has become a parent that the holes in the screen are so small that the birds are not very interested. Too hard to get to the seed if you’re using sunflower seeds

This is a nice feeder for my sunflowers. Sturdy and dependable.

Feeder is solid and has a large enough top to stop rain and snow from soaking seed

Birds absolutely love this feeder. They love getting the black oil sunflower seeds off the tray and the holes are generous enough for them to easily get them out of the mesh. I give it a 10!!

I love this feeder and so do the birds! Excellent quality, thoughtful design, and a super fun pop of color that sets it apart from the standard feeder of this type. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a quality product that is sylistically more interesting than the competitors.

This bird feeder is great for the black sunflower seed. This is the second one we have purchased and the birds love it. The wire for our first one broke after about 5 years but that can be attributed to the squirrels. Very happy with the product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great size feeder however the mesh keeping the seed in is large so some of the smaller seeds will fall out easier. A seed like a sun flower is a better seed, holds better in the cylinder mesh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bird feeder is easy to refill with the steel clip that holds down the lid. It is heavy duty and looks like it will not get beaten up by the birds like my last few feeders. It holds a lot of seed and the birds can easily land on the ledge.

I'm so pleased with this design. It's made to prevent the squirrels from stealing the food and has a good sized ledge for the birds to sit and eat, while I get to enjoy them coming back day after day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the birdfeeder it's easy to fill has a wide base on the bottom so everything doesn't fall off the plate and also nice cable to hang out with them on your Saturday the big sunflower seeds don't quite get through the wire, but most of them do so overall apparently the birds like this item because it's empty quite often

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Birds Choice Sunflower Seed Bird Feeder is a great addition to my garden. It is good sturdy construction, hangs easily and the design discourages squirrel visits (though not completely). It took me a bit to master the clip on the top to release the lid but once I figured it out, it is now easy to operate. My one complaint is that you are limited in what feed you can use because of the size of the mesh on the sides. A diet of straight sunflower or maybe some nuts would work but many of the smaller seeds that attract other birds fall right through the mesh into the tray at the bottom.

My only complaint is that if you have squirrels abound in your property, expect them to take all the seeds with their mischievous little paw-hands. Urgh. Sorry off topic… it other than that, A++++!

The birds really seem to like it, and I love watching all the different birds that stop by to eat. I love how easy it is to refill and there is enough space for a lot of birds to eat at once.
