I was very disappointed about this cake mix as I love super moist yellow cake of all varieties but after baking this cake and following exact Directions whats said to be moist ...actually was super dry falling apart....

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING
Reducing the amount of cake mix in your boxes is NOT the answer. We have been using cake mixes in recipes for over 70 years. Not only did the size decrease, but price increased. Change it back and increase the price if you have to. Otherwise, you'll continue to lose business.

A classic, dependable cake mix
I have used Betty Crocker products for years and have no intention of stopping. My new favorite way is to make cakes from a cookbook I received for Christmas. "The Cake Doctor" So far since the holiday, I've made two cakes. One to take to a friend who was recovering from illness and one for a birthday party. I have never had a problem with any Betty Crocker product. And when I write a long time....we celebrated our 41st anniversary last year!

Recipe to make it better
It’s amazing on its own, but trust me. If possible, exchange the oil for butter (not necessary but makes it better), instead of water add milk, and FOUR eggs, just trust me on this one. It’ll be the fluffiest cake ever. 350 for 27-28 minutes, crunchy on the edges and cloud-like inside.

shrinkflation has gotten the best of betty crocker products :( what a jip!! 13.25oz? that’s ridiculous. duncan hines boxes are 15.25-16.5 oz. there is no reason for betty crocker to be a measly 13 oz. really disappointing. hope they bring back the bigger sizes, because this is just sad.

What a disappointment! My recipe calls for an 18 ounce cake mix. Betty Crocker has chosen to cut corners and reduce the size of the mix to 13oz. On an item that I suspect you spend more on packaging than on the product, I find this deplorable. I’ll be taking this back to the market for a refund at my earliest opportunity.
