Best Choice Products 2-in-1 Outdoor Interchangeable Wooden Picnic Table/Garden Bench for w/ Umbrella Hole - Natural

We had two assembly issues: (1) There was a misaligned hole in step 1 where you fasten a strut to the tabletop with 3 bolts. Any two of the bolts would go in, but not the third. We solved this with a hammer and patient screwing of the bolt all the way through the misalignment. (2) Second issue was our fault, not being clear about which bench boards fastened to which parts, and not noticing that two bench boards are longer than two others. If you get the bench boards swapped, you can't assemble the table. The directions could be clearer on this point. Also, don't use a "normal" #2 size Philips screwdriver that most people have. You need a #3, which has a larger tip. Using a #2 may strip the heads of the bolts. Fortunately we have a #3. Otherwise, this is a good, sturdy picnic table, with plenty of elbow room to seat 4 people. Although the table top itself is somewhat narrow, you can still manage to get 4 full place settings on it, although serving dishes may have to be on a separate table. If the tabletop could be designed with one extra board of width, it would be ideal. This would result in a high back when converted to a bench, but that would be OK.

The idea's nice. The screws were barely long enough so it made the whole setup flimsy. I had to buy longer screws elsewhere to make them tighter. Which, made the wood start cracking. The table slides when put into the picnic table position. It seems to be sturdy when made into a bench. Too much of a hassle to return so I'm just going to keep it even though I'm not really happy with it.

Pandora's box of horrors starting with the reversed engineered instructions, cracked predrilled holes and missing screws, nuts & bolts!!! Too, too much to pack up & return. This was a house warming gift!

I love this clever picnic table/bench!! The only reason I gave this 4 stars is 1) the box was damaged when it arrived which damaged the wood in a small area and 2) for a single gal, this wasn't the easiest thing to put together. Had to wait for a second set of hands to steady things while using the drill. The instructions were pretty easy to follow but it still took over an hour to put together.

This convertible picnic bench to table is great. Easy to assemble and lightweight to transport by a single person. I am extremely satisfied especially when I painted it to match the outside decor

This bench very sturdy and easy to put together but lot of splinter. I stained it to match the deck and other chairs look very nice on out deck.My kids love it.

This is a good product and quite unique. Assembly was not terrible but definitely need two people to do. Currently using as a dining table until ours arrives and it’s made quite the conversation piece. Love the fact that it can be both a table and a bench. Perfect for the grandchildren. The only negative comment is that sections of legs had chips off of, so not wood and not certain how it will actually hold up outdoors.
