Burned water and plastic smell

I removed all packaging and cleaned the pot before my first use. I tried to boil water with it, and immediately smelled a burnt plastic smell. After dumping out the water, I noticed the entire bottom of the pan was burned. It seems like there was some cheap plastic coating on top of the stainless steel.

Thick bottom

The inside of the pan is marked with measurement indicators for easy use. The bottom of the pan is impressively thick. This unique belly shape allows for better movement of liquids and heat distribution, making a noticeable difference in cooking results.
