Behrens 20gal Galvanized Steel Composter Can with Lid

This is a great vessel for composting. I would give it 5 stars if not for the fact that the lid is not "tight fitting" as stated in the product description. I had to use bungee cords to secure the lid so that rodents can't gain access.

I put this item to the test with an 8 hour continued burn the other day. it worked very well. It's tall enough to hold a good bit and stayed sturdy throughout the process.

One of the legs was bent

This can is easily moved, and has more than enough room for my one person household kitchen scraps. The rain passes through and air circulates, so I don't need to rake it. It's too small to compost a backyard garden's veggies, but it's a perfect size for me. My lid stays on securely, even when it's windy.

I use it a little differently but it is a constant in my backyard.

Great quality perfect if your concerns about rodents keeps them out and looks good while doing it makes great compost.

This was mostly as I expected however it arrived with two large dents the size of large cantaloupes opposite of each other in the larger circumference of the can part. The box was not damaged so the damage had to have occurred prior to or during boxing and not shipping. Since it is for composting I didn’t return it. The lid still fit properly. Be advised it is not the sturdiest of construction.

Absolutely what I wanted. I just love it. Ohers have asked about it.

We use this can for burning, mostly leaves. It was perfect for what we needed. We even bought a second one as we have a large yard.
