Book Synopsis
Bear is just drifting off for a nice long sleep, when he hears a cheep cheep noise.
He gets up to search for the source--and finds a mouse. Mouse says it's not him. For when he makes a noise, it's a "squeak, squeak!". So Bear returns to his bed--only to be kept up by cheeping and squeaking!
"Stop that squeaking. Who is cheeping? Who is stopping me from sleeping?"
The woodpecker says it's not him, for he makes a tapping noise. And so, the story goes on, with Bear discovering more and more animals and the noises they make until every creature in the wood is making all the noise they could. And Bear can't sleep!
Bear finally shouts BE QUIET, and the animals stop. Bear returns to his bed, but find it's too quiet to sleep. Luckily, Bird sings him to sleep and all is quiet in the wood . . . until Bear starts to SNORE!
From acclaimed author-illustrator Emily Gravett, Bear's Nap is a wonderful, relatable bedtime story for young readers who just can't sleep!
