The brush seems well made, at least the handles, but I have to wonder if the bristles are supposed to be falling out before I even use it. I could see loose bristles at ngles among the upright bristles, but wanted to try it anyway to see how it feels on the scalp. Although the bristles feel to the touch as though they will be scratchy, they feel surprisingly pleasant on the scalp when brushing the hair. This is good for scalp stimulation/circulation, and to distribute the scalp oil. and remove dead skin cells, and I wash my hair daily. Although I ordered the "dark" handle only because it costs much less than the striped handle, I received a light colored handle which I like and which I prefer to the dark color shown in the photo for the "dark" one. When I bought this it was discounted at over 50% off, so for this price it is a good value, but not at the current full price. This "large oval" brush is quite wide for my small head, but I'll keep it anyway, and if I don't use it for myself I'll use it on one of my cats. :-)
