I bought this under the impression that it was for people. The description does mention “dander” but that was the only indication that it might be a pet brush, and since Bass also sells pet brushes, I was hoping that part of the description might be a slip. Other parts of the description led me to think this brush was for people. But after receiving the brush and trying it on myself, I found that the nylon pins are not rounded on the tips at all, and they scratch the skin easily. I went to the Bass website and saw there that this brush is intended for pets. As a brush for my own use, it would be perfect if the nylon bristles were comfortable. For pet use, I’d be careful with any animal that has delicate skin. I think the brush is scratchy enough to cause irritation and even possibly lead to a skin infection. This COULD be an amazing brush if only the nylon pin ends were rounded. The handle and pad are very nice, and the density of the boar bristles is just right.
