A: Hi CatMon, No, these are not breakaway. It takes a fair amount of pressure on both sides of the buckle to get it open. Not safe for kitties.

Happy until it broke and my dog got loose
Nice collar until it randomly snapped and my 25 lb beagle got loose. I’ve bought 3 of these exact same ones bc I like to change them out every few months and after a month and a half of use this decided to randomly snap. I remove my pet’s collars every night and examine them for any issues and had not seen any problems with the clasp until I put her on the leash and realized she was walking a lot further than the runner allows. So disappointed

New Digs!
Needed to replace our dog collars. I like the shade of purple and got it for Big Momma. You can’t see much from her fluff, but it’s there. Seem to be good quality. She doesn’t usually wear a collar like my other pup, so she’s always scratching at it until she gets used to it.
