Badger SPF 40 Sport Mineral Sunscreen Tin is a reef-friendly sport sunscreen ideal for long days in the surf and sun. Unscented and formulated with natural zinc oxide, it’s the first formula ever to achieve the rigorous Protect Land + Sea Certification*. This waterless, antioxidant-rich sunscreen is made with just four ingredients that are 98% organic, including sunflower oil and vitamin E, to leave skin nourished and protected. Cruelty free, packaged in a 50% PCR tube, and made with solar power.

Love this for our family of 6. It’s very thick, but is 100% clear after rubbing in—zero white cast. I also legit love how it makes me look all glowy after I put it on, hehe. It does need to be re-applied after about an hour in intense sun, but if you stay on top of the applications there will be zero burns. I have two red-heads and they have not ever gotten burnt when wearing this SS. The negative comments I’ve gotten from friends who have borrowed it is the consistency and thickness (some say it makes them feel “greasy”lol), and that it takes some scrubbing to get off. Personally, I like that it’s thick and doesn’t just come off when in the water/while sweating, but it does wash off after a good scrub in the shower. We love it!! It’s our go-to over all other sunscreens.

Miracle product for me
I have super, super, SUPER sensitive skin on my face following medication-induced sunburns. I've tried countless sunscreens, including the usual "gentle" ones like CeraVe and Vanicream. This is the ONLY sunscreen that I can wear every day (and reapply) that doesn't make my skin feel like it's burning. It is a bit heavy, but it doesn't leave a white cast on the level of the other zinc sunscreens I've tried. I sure hope they never stop making it.

Disappointed
I have purchased Badger sunscreen for my family before because I love the clean and simple ingredients….but I do not like the quality of the tubes that I received. It is very difficult to squeeze the sunscreen out because it’s so thick. When applied to the skin, it is very greasy and slippery. I’m unsure if the sunscreen will even stay long on the skin.

Greasy and sticky; sand magnet
This sunscreen is extremely greasy. I like how once it’s rubbed in, it is clear, but everything sticks to it. Definitely does not make sense to use at the beach - my child and I are covered in sand that you have to scrub hard to get off, and then it wipes all of your sunscreen off. Tried this and Bare and will definitely be using bare again instead.

Nice, but...
Let me start by saying it does what it should and when applied correctly is one of the best mineral sunscreens I've used - I even used it on my face without breaking out. However, there is a learning curve. This sunscreen is VERY thick and requires the user to apply a generous amount and REALLY rub it in for it to be effective. I learned the hard way on a kayaking adventure that a quick application results in super patchy coverage and a laughable sun tan in the days that followed, but when done right offers excellent protection.

Good clean sunscreen option
It’s a thick consistency, it was slightly hard to get a finger sized amount out at first. Also the bottle is small compared to other sundcreens. And it doesn’t have a strong smell in my opinion, if it has any smell at all . It’s also smooth and creamy. However, this is a good clean choice for sunscreen so I recommend it. I haven’t tried it on a day where I’m in the sun majority of the day yet. It blends easily into my skin, im on the lighter tan side (olive hispanic skin) and it doesn’t whiten my skin.

Nice but soooo thick
It has no smell, maybe on the beeswaxy side but it’s very nice. Vague white cast immediately rubs in and disappears. The only issue is just how thick it is. 3ml but you need so much just to get regular coverage so really you’re gonna go through this bottle so fast compared to more liquidy bottles. It’s not oily but it’s definitely moisturizing so it’s great for dry skin. Not tacky at all.

Great for sensitive & allergic skin
Absolutely hands-down the best sunscreen for sensitive skin individuals. It provides great protection if applied and used as directed. My 11 year old is very allergic to certain foods (epi-pen at all times) & many products irritate his skin. I tried so many different sunscreens on the market and my son kept coming up with a rash that looked like prickly heat. Not with this stuff. Very simple ingredients and totally effective. Love, love it!

So thick and greasy it’s not even remotely usable. Thought this would be a nice alternative to Thinkbaby, which I love but makes us look like ghosts. This went on clear but the application process was excruciating, long, and left us very greasy.

I bought the badger active for the face and it’s great and rubs in easily. I was excited to buy one that was more water resistant but this one does not rub in, it works well but you’ll look white
