I love this system but 2 small problems I dislike. 1. The battery life isn't great. 2. The storage space isn't too large which means you need to buy a micro sd card.

Perfect gamers companion

The Handheld that does it all.
Great PC handheld. It literally does everything i want it to. The screen is just big enough that i can do everything comfortably, and yet just small enough to make it compact! I like how most of the hardware can be modified so that you can make it your own. All the other PC handhelds are ok, but this one does it all. The only thing i can say that i dont like is battery life ( which the battery is replaceable with a better one ) so idk why they couldnt have put a bigger battery in to begin with. But besides that i have no gripes!

My experience with the set up was like any other, with anything getting set up takes a minute with downloading everything and registering everything. However, the set up with the ROG Alley was quick, easy, simple. While things are downloading in the background learning the layout was pretty cool and easy, genuinely satisfied with what I can do with just one or two buttons. I have a steam deck and lenovo legion go. I'd say ROG, steam deck, switch, then lenovo. This isn't me glazing asus, im not being paid, I think yall have outdone yourself with this model. I am very glad I got this model and not the Xbox scam models. For half the cost I am having the time of my life! I think I will be using this more than my pc, now adays pc are getting expensive, my pc rn is running on windows 10 and can't go any higher, I wanted a new graphics card and new ram but my god for it to be compatible with anything is a nightmare, what if my mother board isn't compatible or what if my CPU is outdated (which that is also outdated too...) Hopefully maybe one day yall can help me out with that... I love yall

Ally has problems
My ally has had a problem with duplicating monitors. I reached out to asus & after help, I was told to wait days for help. I factory reset. It worked. I was told to update armory crate & the problem came back. Still waiting on help. Disappointed & disgusted with help.

Great introductory to PC playing
Great introduction to PC, battery life could use improvement. The handheld can be easily hooked up to a monitor with mouse and keyboard and used as a PC or I can lay in bed and play on the device itself. There are occasional crashes and without decent wifi, it’s a struggle to play games on Cloud Gaming. Steam struggles with the gamepad being used handheld at times as well. I’ve had my ROG Ally for about a year now and while the battery doesn’t last very long unplugged, I have had little to no issues otherwise. I have yet to add more storage space to it, but my husband did to his and it was easy enough and still runs great!

battery is its worst enemy and windows in janky on it and the 16gb ram ain’t for today’s world in gaming when you pay the rog premium

Power of a Gaming PC in my hands
I absolutely can't believe how powerful this console is. Been playing Silent Hill f at 60 FPS. With SteamOS it can go up to 120. It is faster than expected. Screen size is great was playing the same thing on Switch sized screen. Can game anytime anywhere. More convenient than a laptop. And with a docking station can be used as a laptop in desktop mode. Battery life could be better but overall satisfied with my purchase.

Bad battery
Battery only lasted 40 minutes, returned and got the Xbox ally, it might’ve been a bad battery so I returned the product

The ROG Ally's battery life is approximately 5 hours of light to medium workload. This may vary significantly depending on your system, video, game and operating mode settings, ranging from about 1 to 2 hours for demanding games or applications. You can extend battery life by lowering screen brightness, reducing resolution and adjusting performance settings like using the Silent mode and limiting the FPS inside the Armoury Crate utility. My introduction to PC gaming
I’ve never gamed on a PC. I recently decided to pick up the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. My mind is blown, it’s such a great machine. I’ve downloaded 4 games and it runs them flawlessly. The graphics are amazing, it’s quick to load and very fast FPS. I highly recommend this as a beginner or a veteran gamer.
