A: Yes it does. I currently use it for my iPad 9th Generation. You should have no issue.

submitted byJoe - 2 years agoTarget staff supportA: my spouse has an iPad 9th gen and the 1st gen pencil does not fit. I'd suggest you contact apple support directly, because it was my understanding that only the 10th gen iPad required the adapter.
