Cute enough, but definitely not worth $$
This is cute but I would not pay more than $10 for it. It’s thin plastic and the sound doesn’t come through the handheld it comes from the bottom of the unit which is a bit confusing. Very very few statements, not good sound quality, and overall just a flimsy item.

This is very cheap plastic and the recording does not even come out of the handheld receiver. It also arrived loose in a large cardboard box with no internal box, plastic or any type of protection.

So thankful we have a way to hear from Santa. The phone did arrive in the box with an elf talking as the switch was set to "Sensor", which means it will always connect to our friends up north anytime something is around. So the batteries are probably drained, but no big deal. It works, and we love it. I do suggest that future designs have the speaker in the earpiece rather than having a speakerphone effect, although I could imagine the reasons for that. Also, I didn't have the issues others mentioned-- the sound is good, and 'phone call' stops when you hang up the receiver. I got this when it was on sale for 40% off and am so glad I did!
