Purpose

Sunscreen

Uses

Helps prevent sunburn. If used as directed with other sun protection measures (see Directions), decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun.

Directions

Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use water resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Children under 6 months of age: Ask a doctor. Use daliy or alone under makeup. Sun Protection Measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: Limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

    Avoid entirely if you have citrus oil sensitivity

    I purchased this without reading through the engredients in their entirety. I don't know why Andalou puts Linalool, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, or Limonene in their ingredient list. These are highly sensitizing ingredients that cause my eyes to puff up and my face to become red, itchy and swollen when exposed to the sun. I have used the 1000 roses CC cream along with other mneral sunscreens in a mix as a base for years and never have had an issues, so I know these additives are not a must for a great sunscreen or sunblock. Please remove Andalou! It takes me weeks after this reaction for my skin to calm down and stop peeling.

    My Favorite Sunscreen Formula of All Time

    This product paved the way for Andalou to release these other sunscreens that are an SPF dream come true. Hydrating and melts right into the skin, it's a gorgeous addition to your skincare routine. I'm so happy to have a product like this in my arsenal. I don't ever use sunscreen sparingly, and I will use about a quarter-sized dollop at a time on my face and decolletage area as well. I have dry skin, so my skin soaks this right up.

    Sticky white residue

    I don't understand how this is getting so many good reviews! It's awfully sticky and leaves a white residue and absolutely no hydration. I can only believe mine is bad? It's not expired so idk?

    Deep Hydration Daily Shade + Blue Light Defense Facial Lotion SPF 30

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this lotion upon recommendation from a similar company that no longer makes my previous moisturizer. It seems to be hard to find natural moisturizer with SPF these days. It’s a little thin and runny, and I find that if I don’t use regular moisturizer/ lotion first, my face gets itchy. I do like that it protects against blue light. It’s hard not to compare the previous discontinued product to this one (not as good), but I do like it and will order again. Overall the company makes fantastic products.

    This is the sunscreen I've been looking for!

This sunscreen has the texture of a lightweight moisturizing lotion. It spreads easily. It dries quickly. It doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky. It works great under makeup.     More of a sunscreen than a moisturizer

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m looking for a daily moisturizer with SPF protection. Deep Hydration Daily Shade+Blue Light Defense Facial Lotion feels more like a sunscreen than a moisturizer. Makeup doesn’t go over it as smoothly as I like. I’m thinking this may be good for days I don’t wear makeup but will continue looking for a smoother natural moisturizer for daily use under makeup.

    love most andalou products

    i am 61 years young and love most of their products. really wanted to love the skin protection from uv and blue light… every time i applied, i looked…pale and unhealthy. i’ve tried the tinted and the tint was not right for my skin. i can’t say enough about spf 30 facial serum, it is a refresh and really makes my skin better!! ( and has protection)

    Not for me.

    i’m loving this new mineral sunscreen. i’ve been more intentional about the products I use and trying to chose cleaner, safer brands. this sunscreen goes on like a moisturizer and is super hydrating. I also love that it’s reef safe so I can use it when I’m on the beach. I was gifted by Andalou Naturals

    Great Mineral Sunscreen Lotion

    I really like this mineral sunscreen lotion that was gifted by Andalou naturals. It does not leave a white cast or make my skin oily/greasy. It does wear well under makeup but is not hydrating enough by itself for my aging skin. So I usually apply a facial oil underneath it.

    Non-nano Zinc!

    A lot of spf products claim to be reef safe, but then never actually tell you that they use non-nano zinc. This was gifted by Andalou Naturals and it actually clearly states “non-nano” on the package, that is HUGE. Based on the ingredients and quality, I’m shocked that it’s such a reasonable price point, this holds up to or exceeds the quality of some luxury skincare products I have used. A physical spf that’s reef safe is not only better for my skin, but the environment as well. I find this absorbs well when not overapplied and my fair complexion has had no issues with it leaving a white tint on my face.
