ALUCSET 10 x 12 x 8 Inch Linen 2 Tone Drum Style Lamp Shade with Spider Frame for Table and Floor Lamps with Harp Attachment, Black & White 2 Pack

I was specifically looking for black lampshades that were close to a cylinder shape (I didn't want something that got a lot wider towards the bottom), and these fit the bill. They worked well with my lamps, though I would've loved it if these shades were maybe 3" taller. I knew the length going into it, however, so that's not a complaint about the product. The light shines through them enough to give the shades a linen-type appearance. I found it interesting that they have a white framework. While I think silver, gold, brass (or maybe even black) would look better, I think white makes sense as a neutral choice that would work with any lamp. You wouldn't have to worry about matching hardware, etc. The white does stand out because of its stark contrast to the black shade, but realistically, that's not the part of the lamp you'll ever look at when it's lit. The only word of caution. When reading the item title, read it carefully. I read the words "with harp attachment" and thought to myself, "Great, they include the harps!"...when in fact, that is not the case. Rather, these are shades that are made to work with "table and floor lamps with harp attachment", meaning they are meant to work with lamps that already HAVE a harp attachment. Maybe I'm the only one that would've misinterpreted that, but I figured I'd mention it here to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake.
