Too small more a child's size

This bracelet looks really cute online and it is similar when you receive it. Its delicate with 2 separate bamds that you can wear together or seperately. However if is for a very small wrist, more a young child's size. I have a small wrist amd it was very snug on me felt tight. Because the beads are on a thin stretchy elastic wearing it won't make it stretch out to fit better but will more likely cause it to break and the delicate heart dangle doesn't dangle well. For that reason its going back unfortunately.

Are these made for a child? My wrists are thin, and they cut into my skin. They are strung so tightly, they are crooked. I will have to restring them just to be wearable.
