Powerful laptop, flawed with battery and heat
This laptop is a pretty solid fit for how it id advertised. Overall, it would be able to run high quality games and support excessive multitasking. The dedicated graphics and choice of processor does make for a powerful device and it was not lacking with performance. The issues I recognized were more related to the fan noise and speed, the battery life, and the heat generated while powered on. After letting the laptop sit with no windows open and all background applications closed, the fans get surprisingly loud and the laptop is hot to the touch. It would be uncomfortable to have on your lap and would work better on a flat surface like a table. I also noticed that the battery drained at a rate that would give it 3-5 hours of charge, whereas I found online that it should be getting 7-8 or more. It seemed like I was the first one noticing this, so it could be a faulty piece of hardware on my part, but it did not have the battery life that was advertised. I think it’s a solid laptop that would work well as a desktop where it remains plugged in to increase performance and allow airflow to reduce the excessive heat that it produces. The addition of a cooling dock would solve the heat issue if you are willing to put in the extra money. The poor ventilation on the bottom contributes to the buildup of heat. If you’re looking for a more work-based laptop, look elsewhere for better battery life and cooling. If you want it more for gaming and will not be moving it around on the daily, it is a good fit and has the hardware to run the high intensity games.

A beauty with some beastly fans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All around fantastic computer. Has everything I need and more. Light and versatile enough that I can happily get through my work day, but solid screen and component pieces that I can easily round out my evenings with a good AAA game. Only downside? Even at normal performance levels the fans are LOUD. Having a couple tabs open, watching a YouTube video, or downloading too much sounds a bit like a jet engine. But a big thumbs up from me.

Exceeded my expectations!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this laptop just over 2 weeks ago and I love it! I'm glad I chose this model when I decided to invest in an upgrade from my antiquated HP. It was worth every dollar in my opinion.
