A tense tale!
Abducted in the Woods by Kerry Johnson will keep you on the edge of your seat. It is a suspenseful story that is full of action. The story is well written with fast pacing. I like the fact that we get glimpses at the past which lets us see how Sarah met the twins, fell in love with Tanner, and more. The character development and plot were well done. The story captured my attention and held it. I felt for Sarah who was worried about her son. There are twists, turns, and surprises. I kept wondering what Sarah’s husband had gotten involved in and why he would neglect his family. I liked the son’s support cat, Mr. Meow and Tucker’s K-9 dog. Themes in the story are God’s forgiveness, grace, and the power of prayer. The romance was light and touching. Abducted in the Woods is the second book in the Forest Ranger Rescuers series, but it can be read as a standalone. Abducted in the Woods is a tense tale with a slain husband, a snatched son, befuddling drug trials, determined transgressors, a sweet support cat, and a second chance at romance.
