Fun Book to Read
A Daughter of Fair Verona was an unexpected delight. Believe it or not, Rosie is actually Romeo and Juliet’s daughter. Of course you’ll have to read the book to see how this is even possible. Rosie is an elderly virgin at age 20. Romeo keeps trying to find a husband for Rosie but Rosie always wiggles out of the situation until she is betrothed to Duke Stephano. On the night of her engagement party to Duke Stephano, Rosie runs into someone and literally believes she met her 'love at first sight’ match. What will she do? She’s betrothed to the Duke. This story is a fun story about murder, love, and family. Does Rosie marry the Duke, get out of the arrangement, get together with her ‘love at first sight’ gentleman, or is there actually someone else who comes into the picture while everyone is trying to solve a murder. Read the book, enjoy, you’ll be glad you did. #ADaughterofFairVerona

What a fun book!
What a fabulous story! Taking Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and turning that story on its head was brilliant! Giving an updated spin to Rosie, her forward thinking views, her spinsterhood, and GASP her virginity, had me laughing out loud a few times. Adding in the suspicions of the day and the deference that people gave to the Prince and the clergy, this book was just a rollicking ride through death, dying, marital customs, the lack of sanitation, and women surviving in a man's world, but allowing the men to think they were in charge. Part murder mystery, part romance, all fun! I enjoyed this book from start to finish and the bit of a cliff hanger on the last page? Amazing. I can't wait for the next book in this series!!
