Really should be more like 4.5 stars, but we can't do half stars, so 4 seems like the fairest available option. Before buying from Target, I had seen this set advertised in many places from different retailers but no listing had a single review, so I was apprehensive. I took the leap anyway and really can't express how pleasantly surprised I was at the quality of both the hutch and the cabinets. First of all, the shipping was pretty fast for such large pieces. Altogether, it took my boyfriend and I about 8 hours to assemble all 4 pieces. The pieces turned out as advertised in color and size. My only real complaint is on the instructions. While the vast majority of them were solid instructions, there were a few that were important and flawed and difficult to fix once the mistake was made. For example, one instruction on the drawer slides had you screwing into holes that would offset it from the drawer slide on the other side. It's not noticeable until nearly the very end when you try to insert the drawers and the slides are offset. Fixing it by getting deep in a tiny drawer cavity was difficult. I want to end on a positive though, because I really am actually impressed by this set. The appearance and quality of materials was better than any prefab furniture I've put together. It looks sleek and will be in my craft room for many years to come.
