Description

The Defender™ outdoor ceiling fan from Possini Euro Design® is rated for use in damp locations. It comes in a handsome oil-rubbed bronze finish motor and eight koa finish blades with a 80-inch span. An energy-efficient LED light module is built into the bottom and covered by a polycarbonate lens that diffuses the lighting. A handheld remote control is included for operation.

No spin zone - stay away

We bought this, electrician installed. Worked 2 wks , lamps plus great and sent new receiver. Worked 2 wks - lamps plus not so great second time as help desk person disconnected me twice , called back first time but not second. I have very expensive little light in our outdoor porch in NC in August. Possini apparently known for this issue. Great look, but stay away.

Poor blade design

Had to return, no down draft due to blade design. Fan looked great in our space but was not functional.

Not real wood!

Firstly I guess I thought this might be real wood, and it isn't. That aside, it does look like it. It is a nice visual and makes our 3 season screened in porch look modern - the light is inconsequentil and more like a night light so don't bank on it for anything except dim mood lighting. You need to be away from the edge of the outer blades to receive any air movement - the installer said it was a little tricky. I would buy it again solely for the way it looks. And I am sure it will be easy to clean. The downrod is a good length so you don't need to buy a longer extension.
