Dissapointed
I was excited to build this shelf and had been eyeing it for a while. Despite the reviews, I wanted to give it a shot myself. Unfortunately, I was disappointed overall. The shelf is very wobbly, and you have to be extremely careful when screwing in the boards because the wood can easily split if the screws are tightened too much. Once assembled, the shelf leans slightly to one side, so it really needs to be placed next to a wall for support. Overall, it may be worth considering a higher-priced option if you’re looking for something sturdier and more stable.

Made of cheap boards that crack during assembly!
Extremely cheap, poor quality of boards. I followed assembly instruction 100%, and at the very first step where you have to hammer in dowels just as instructed, the board cracked in both places. Look elsewhere!

This is the second time I have purchased this cubby holder bc the first one was handy to have. You are getting what you pay for here. I got it for my toddler’s play room. It is not the highest quality, and you have to be very careful when assembling not to crack the panels. However, for the price and the usability it has been great for us. Holds toys just fine in every cubby and have never had any issues with it being sturdy enough for our purposes. I’d recommend for an affordable shelf worth the money.
