Q: Is this supposed to be a tension rod? I ordered one and there’s no tension spring inside, just a piece of plastic. It doesn’t twist well one way or the other.

Doesnt work / poor mechanism
First time worked great. Took it down added the curtain on and could not for the life of me get it to lock tension ever again. Twisting didn't work. Watched their video... ok the rod works the same way any other tension rod works... waste of time. Pulled it apart... nothing was broken but the "twist" plastic was stuck at the which makes sense why it wouldn't "twist" back into a tension position. So I twisted / reset it. Slid it back in. Twist, click and fall. Worthless. But very cute...... if it worked.

Watch out...WILL fall
Doesn’t stay up. Rod will not lock into place and falls frequently. No amount of twisting or placement will make the rod hold. Very disappointed.

Cblew- Sorry for your trouble. It sounds like you are over twisting the rod set, causing it to fall apart. When properly setup and installed per the instructions, there is only a couple of twists necessary for a very strong hold. It is important the setup instructions be followed closely, and once done, the rod mechanism was designed to be among the strongest in the market. Twist twist twist...
All the twisting did not work. And yes, I saw the video. Not very helpful. It's been sitting in the closet. Trying to come up with ideas on what else I can use it for. I keep twisting to tighten it, and it never gets to a point where it is even slightly tight. I cannot use it for its intended purpose.
