Junk
This broke and fell apart when I installed it. The end cap snapped off one side and the end cap on the other side had a broken screw and wouldn’t attach to the pole.

Disappointed
This is the worst item I have ever purchased at target. I have used it for less than 24 hours and is already scratched up from the curtains moving around on it and it does not support weight at all.

This item does its job but I’m a little disappointed with the quality especially considering the price. It looks good, easy to install but I wouldn’t put heavy curtains up using this rod. The material is flimsy and bends easily. One of those things that you put up and never touch.

Decorative and Efficient
Because of the extended length, really best for two people to install, but with diligence, one person can suffice. I purchased item to install blackout curtains behind my living room sliding glass door blinds. Fits nicely in the frame. The rod holds up really well. Decorative enough without looking cheap or flimsy.

I rent an apartment and even if I didn't, I'm not very comfortable with power tools, so this curtain rod is perfect for me. My number one piece of advice for this product is to HAVE SOMEONE TO HELP YOU. I was stubborn and managed to do it by myself, but it was difficult and frustrating and took me probably twenty times longer than it would have taken with a partner. So, if at all possible, have someone help you put this up (it is possible to do it yourself if necessary- just difficult!). But this product is great. It comes with two sets of instructions, one for tension mounting and one for permanent mounting, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The rod itself looks nice and was packaged well, and most importantly is staying up so far. The instructions say that the center support is recommended if using on a larger window, but my window is over 100 inches and I didn't use it (since that would defeat the purpose of trying not to use power tools or drill holes in the wall). But it's staying up so far anyway!

Damaged item shipped out
Shipped to me broken. Packaging was undamaged so it was clear that this item was packaged and sent with a smashed end. It was just in the box, not in packaging like you’d see in the store so I assume someone returned and Target thought I wouldn’t mind receiving a damaged tension rod. They were mistaken.
