Beautiful fan the operates silently. If you need a fan that moves air and makes NO noise - this is the fan for you. DC fans may be pricier - but they are worth every penny for their energy efficiency & quietness. Love this fan!

If you can get this fan to be balanced, it is nice. However, two of the initial fan blades that were shipped with the fan had a lot of what looked like grease marks, so I had to request a replacement set of blades from Lamps Plus, which they nicely sent out. I replaced the two marked blades with new ones and there was no way to balance the fan as it had extreme wobbles. I then replaced the first blade so that the entire set matched and it was then balanced. I'm assuming that since these blades are actually soft wood, that they come as a set of three that are the closest match to each other, so you can't mix and match without causing a ton of problems. Overall it has made me reconsider ceiling fans with real wood blades as they seem problematic from potential damage and balancing perspectives. I'd also say that this fan would look best in a dining room, kitchen, etc. as the motor housing is a bit dainty and looked smaller than I anticipated. The light also has a strobe effect to it that is unnerving in a bedroom.

This is an excellent fan. Appearance, airflow and quietness all get 5 stars. There was a slight wobble after installation that was fixed by sticking a quarter coin about six inches from the end of one fan blade. Watch out for the "jam screws" that clamp the yoke to the down rod. If these are not fully tight the fan rumbles and growls like a coffee grinder.

While the fan is absolutely beautiful it has never worked quietly. We bought two of these fans for our kids rooms and had them professionally installed by our electrician and they both make some noise. One of them rattles incessantly any speed over 1. Our electrician has been back multiple times to make sure all screws are tight, and make sure everything is properly installed and it still rattles and shakes.
