Damaged on arrival

My daughter picked this out online and was excitedly waiting for it. We loved the softness of this robe- unfortunately, we noticed it was already breaking at the seams on the hood. The garment was clearly damaged as soon as it arrived. It appears to be out of stock in the size we ordered (10/12) so now we have to decide whether to try and sew it or return and get an entirely new one.
