Comparison before using
Just purchased 11/23 as a replacement for my Calphalon Contemporary 3 qt. Weight: Figmint pan is 31.3oz and the Calphalon is 38.3oz Handle: Figmint is shorter, straight with a steep angle. Calphalon is longer with a softer arch that makes it easier to lift. Curious if the shorter handle means it will be hotter to the touch like some other cheap pots I have. Lids: I do like the built in strainer! I miss this feature from a different Calphalon Contemporary pan that already bit the dust. I usually make rice in this pan so I will have to see about the vent in the Figmint

Would not recommend
I got this item shipped and it was completely unprotected in the box, so it arrived with scratches all over it. That was disappointing but it was even more disappointing realizing how flimsy this pot is. I do not have high hopes for the longevity of this pot. I have another pan from figmint that is much sturdier than this one. This one feels so lightweight that it just feels flimsy and cheap.
