IMPRESSIVE
I'm going to be completely honest, right out of the box it worked like a CHAMP. This thing has beautiful tone, a very very comfortable neck, decent pickups (although you're going to want to change them eventually), and decent strings. It's honestly become my go to acoustic bass. Buy It.

Amazing value for the price.
Some of the reviewers were dissatisfied with what sound like little accidents. Mine seems free of those. Beautiful for the low price. I just wanted to be able to practice without plugging in, and it serves well. I shall have to adjust the bridge in some way, eventually, if I want to record with it. I would not recommend changing the strings right away, either, as that goes against the whole concept of modesty presented with this instrument. I am just grateful that it doesn't have any of the flaws described by some customers.

Cheap and functional.
Overall, I pretty much got what I expected at this price point. The sound is ok and my primary use was just to have an acoustic bass to putz around the house with. Mission accomplished. I enjoy playing it!

Great find for the money
I am new to playing guitar, and recently bought an electric from a local store. Problem was, hard to bring the guitar and amp into the bedroom at night when you want to practice. This bass and the price made it so simple to say yes. I keep this on a stand next to my bed, and whenever I need, just pick it up and practice some of this weeks lessons without waking up the house. The sound is clean, and you can hear all strings just fine as acoustic. But in my opinion, if you are new to playing bass, this is a product that will simply get you to where you will be ready for something later. Prove you like to play before dropping big money.

When I got this bass was shocked how nice it was. I use to work at a guitar shop and we sold a few kinds of acoustic basses and this was as nice as those.

I had an old Ibanez acoustic bass years ago and had that setup. It was a nice sound for the bass. I find those strings to be a little warmer and less tinny sounding for the acoustic. But the strings that came on this bass were great! I also like how the body of this bass is smaller than my old acoustic bass and smaller than my acoustic guitars. It fits really well in my lap and projects sound really well! I haven't tried it plugged in, and probably won't. If you are looking for an inexpensive beach/campfire acoustic bass, this is the one!

Good little bass
Okay first off , I am not a beginner bassist. I got this acoustic bass because it was cheap and would need some work done to it to customize it and make it an actual decent bass I can play with friends at my local pub.

There was no damage at all. The bass was in great shape right away. All the pieces were finished as they should be. The electronics work and sound as good as I would expect at this price point. It is not a full scale bass which I was not aware of before ordering. I have been a bass player for 2 decades and was blown away buy how useful this acoustic bass was.

My wife was trying to learn bass but wanted a lighter instrument that she could hear without an amp.It came in a simple guitar shipping box. There was no damage at all. Having A Blast
This base tunes right, sounds great, and everything is in aligned as it's supposed to be. I couldn't be happier for the price. Now, if I spend $500 on a bass I'll be a little more critical than for this $120 number. But for the price, I think this bass is an incredible value.

Pleasant surprise on quality
I was looking for a short scale bass for practice and hoped this would fit the bill. Boy was i shocked! Opened box, had good packing. Overall, quality was very unexpected! It is well put together and has a quality finish on it!

jackpot! i love this instrument. granted, im not a professional musician, but i wouldn't think twice about playing this bass in a gig. it feels great and sounds even better. i especially enjoy how light it is. my Godin bass is awesome, but it weighs a ton now compare to this guy. for this price, it's a no brainer. for beginner to expert (ive been playing for 40 years) it's a winner!

Surprisingly !
I bought this bass because it was the smallest scale acoustic I could find without spending too much money. I had it set up professionally and now the bass plays wonderfully for an extra $20. I am intending to use this instrument on some of my professional gigs, and I expect it to do very well! The pickup is simple, and sounds better than some $500 acoustic basses I've played. Don't expect this bass to be the holy grail of acoustic basses, but it should do anything very well with a proper setup. In short, of course the bass won't be set up. But it's better that the action is a mile high than having it too low and needing to replace a bunch of parts. As a full-time, professional musician, I'm very happy with this bass, and might buy another one!

Good Quality for very Low price
I'm very impressed with the appearance and playability of this Bass, not to mention the quality of the build seems to be pretty good. Other than some minor finish flaws here and there, I could not find any cracks, gaps, or warping anywhere on the Bass. I did file down the bridge saddle about 1/8th of an inch, and now it plays really nice. The electronics all function as they should, the EQ does work well when you make adjustments you can really here it do its thing. I put a set of LaBella flat wound short scale strings on it, and a Planet Waves Feedback Blocker in the sound hole. I play it through a Fender Rumble 40 watt Bass Amp at Church and it sounds amazing. Very Good Instrument for the $.

Good Quality for the Money
I bought this as a travel bass so I could practice on the go without having to lug around an amp. I wasn't expecting this thing to be booming loud (without plugging it into an amp), and neither should you, so if you're looking for a bass thats loud without an amp, you're in the wrong place. That being said, the bass is good for solo practice on the go and for beginners who do not want to invest a lot of money into an instrument they could ultimately drop in a few weeks or so. You can decide to plug this thing into an amp to boost the volume, but be aware of feedback, especially on certain notes. The design is nice and the materials are not as cheaply made as I was expecting them to be (like the metal tuning heads). Overall, I wouldn't gig with it, but it is perfect for recreational use and hobbyists who just can't seem to put their bass down wherever they go.

Novice amatuer advice.
Adjust the truss rod a little until snug. I found a high #1 fret causing an A string buzz. For me no more buzz anywhere on the neck. I gave the wood some lemon wax now I have an acoustic bass. Rock, Jazz, Blues, anything. I almost bought a bass guitar kit, but I am glad I found this! Can't beat the price and this is a good musical instrument.

Great Acoustic Bass For The Price
This is a very functional beginner acoustic bass or as a piece for more experienced musicians to occasionally use for recording and jamming. I’m a big fan of the headstock shape and lack of a cheap looking logo, it gives the bass a much more premium appearance than you would expect for around $100.

I am extremely happy with this bass
If you are in the market for an acoustic bass and don't want to spend a lot of money I'd highly recommend this one. I like the feel of this bass compared to some larger $200 acoustic basses I've tried. You might as well buy this bass for half the price of what they charge for an acoustic bass at Guitar Center and use the money you saved to buy a case and a guitar strap.

Hesitate no longer!
The price really makes you hesitate. Two days later an amazing looking and sounding instrument was on my porch. The outside packaging was interestingly the normal odd-shaped guitar box the guitar ships manufactured from slid into a rectangle box and taped securely. No damage to the packaging and upon opening was a near perfect looking bass.
