Bent and defective

Unfortunately, the lamp arrived bent. I didn't open the box and realized the damage only after I had hired an electrician to install it. So we put it up anyway. Then the bulb recommended for purchase would not remain on and stay brightly lit. I switched out the bulb which worked only for a while. Not I'm awaiting another electrician visit to find out why the lamp is not working. I'm very disappointed in the company this time.

Not that this is a 40 watt light

Will be returning the light. I did not realize that it would be a 40 watt light (it says in the details, but I never thought to look because it never occurred to me it would be only 40 watts). Since it will be a reading light, 40 watt is not good enough; plus, since EVERY light in my house is at least 60 watt, I would never remember to replace this bulb with 40 watt when required. Also, as another poster said, it is shinier than expected. Also, it was a bit cheaper looking than I had expected.

Thumbs down graphic, would not recommend

Poor manufacturing and quality control

Only one out of three sconces had attachment points reasonably aligned. In the worst example, the second arm outermost attachment point was rotated 8° out of alignment, causing the light to kick out to the side quite noticeably. The one that wasn’t askew looked fine and we might have kept, but I don’t like my odds for quality and they are a little oversized.

It is as advertised.

The quality is good all around, and it is a substantial, sturdy light. It articulates vertically and swivels horizontally to accommodate an infinity of positions. A very versatile lamp.

Decent lamp as advertised
