  • A: Hi - sure, you can use a dimmer with this design. It does not come with a dimmer, but you can add a line cord dimmer to it to get that functionality.

Q: It says, use standard bulb Max 60 w ??? But can I use LED Bulb on it, instead of a standard bulb ?

  • A: Hi - sure, you can use an LED bulb with this design, not don't exceed 60 watts used by the bulb. The "standard" refers to the base of the bulb that is used in the socket, standard-medium base bulb, but you can of course use an LED version. Thank you for the question!

    Heats up fast

    Be aware it gets hot fast and isn’t ideal for children that like to touch things.

    Hi - if you are using an incandescent bulb in this design the bulb itself can get hot. If this is an issue for you we recommend using an LED bulb, which have a very low heat output.

    I liked it for the purpose I bought it for.

    I've had this lamp less than a year, it broke at the joint where the adjustable nob is. I had noticed that the adjustable nob kept coming loose to the angled pole with the light head extension. It appears to be made with cast aluminum which is not strong enough to support the headlamp. I loved the style, I used it for working puzzle over my table it was perfect for that. I hope something can be done about this.

    Sharp looking and good light

    I wanted to concentrate light on some house plants. I use this with a grow-light bulb and the plants love it! Also, it looks great in my house. Easy to "assemble", sturdy, and well-made.

    How do i adjust the height?

    Just got this beauty, we are having a hard time adjusting the height. the knob is so tight that it can't be unscrewed to allow for us to adjust to any height so it just flops down and not in any upright position. how do we unscrew without breaking it?

    Poor quality- not really adjustable

    We got 14 months out of this lamp. It looks great and held up fine until we decided to adjust the angle slightly. Just holding the boom arm while loosening the little screw to readjust caused it to snap. 

The elbow joint is not metal, it is some kind of brass-colored painted plastic or composite of some kind. It might hold up if you put it in place and never touch it again-but if you want an adjustable lamp, save your money and buy better quality!

    Disappointed in quality

    Love the design and finish. Unfortunately This lamp broke in less than a year. The knob that you use to adjust the height of the light wears out quickly and then doesn’t work at all making the light useless because it won’t stay up.

    Decent for the price

    I like this lamp. I do wish it were a bit taller, and that its knob to turn the lamp on and off was sturdier. I like the look, and it'll do the job for now.

    An okay lamp

    It looks nice and decent quality but it’s hard to adjust and I was only able to use it on the left side of my couch. It’s not a very versatile lamp. I wouldn’t buy it again and it’s too much trouble to take it back. I’ll make the best of it.

    Poor quality

    Came damaged.. light snapped off from rod. When I tried to return it the stand was stuck and I couldn’t get it back in the box. Unfortunately I was not able to get a refund.

    Snapped at the elbow

    We loved how it looked at it worked great for a while. Then I was trying to adjust the angle and it snapped in half, revealing a massive design flaw: at the fulcrum where the arm pole joins to the base pole, this thing is only reinforced with a thin semi-circle of some kind of material that's much weaker than the majority of the body! It's an obvious weak point and there's no wonder all the other 1-star reviewers had the exact same problem.
